My sister, Valerie and I wrote this song in 1974 while living in Orlando, Fl.  I used to get a lot of ideas for songs, but could never put words to them.  I'd get an idea and have a phrase and that was about it.  We started writing together and after we had a general sketch of how the song was to be, I'd record the background (bass, drums and rhythm guitar) and give her a copy on a cassette.  That way she could practice her singing with what we had decided to do.  Then when she came over to the house the next week, we'd record her voice and maybe her singing harmony.
She is a totally awesome singer, but we live far apart.  So I thought I'd give it a try.  Hope you enjoy.

Lyrics

Imagine Feeling So Good In The Morning
Imagine feeling so good in the morning To have someone beside me who I really love Imagine feeling so good in the morning Whoʼs soft and gentle eyes Iʼm always thinking of
There once was a time in my life when everything went wrong There never was a time when I didnʼt cry There always was a feeling that I didnʼt belong And always a tear that no one could ever dry.
The world in yesterdayʼs dream held no tomorrow And now the dreams I dream all are coming true All I feel is happiness, no more pain and sorrow
Now that your sweet love keeps me satisfied
Waking up to daylight, the sun shining bright Night time makes me shout up to the highest star You know Iʼm gonna be happy beside you every night As long as Iʼm with you, no matter where we are.
Imagine feeling so good in the morning To have someone beside me who I really love Imagine feeling so good in the morning Whoʼs soft and gentle eyes Iʼm always thinking of
Whoʼs soft and gentle eyes Iʼm always thinking of
